Sexually offending youth

Aggressive youth

Youth who are dual diagnosed (DD and MH/AOD)

Youth whose behaviors have been hurtful towards self and/or others

Youth who have had difficulty achieving success in other programs

Youth who struggle with learning and/or developmental disabilities

Youth who struggle with behavioral healthcare challenges

What is the length of stay at Fairfield Academy?

The length of stay is highly individualized and depends on many factors. A youth who presents a threat to the safety of others may experience a longer stay than one who may need medication stabilization.

What is the daily rate of Fairfield Academy?

Our per diem for the residential program is $225 which is billed to the responsible county agency or cluster. There is also a school per diem of $41.65 which is billed to the school of record.

Do you provide any transportation assistance?

YES! Fairfield Academy staff will provide transportation and supervision for home visits, court appearances, etc.

Is the program IV-E? 

Yes, the Fairfield Academy program is IV-E.

Does an individual have to be adjudicated to be admitted to Fairfield Academy?

No, we do not require adjudication.

What entity Licenses Fairfield Academy?

Fairfield Academy holds a license from the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family. Additionally, the Ohio Department of Education classifies our school as a Special Needs Charter School.

What are the general goals and approach of your program?

The goals are to keep the community safe from further offending by the individual and to assist the individual in learning to live an offense-free life.  The objectives are for the resident to learn, accept, internalize, and apply basic pro-social attitudes in daily interactions with peers and authority.  Group and individual counseling, medication management along with milieu instruction and feedback are utilized.
